A field of experimentation

Le Grand Café is alive to its surroundings and to the public space in Saint-Nazaire in particular, where it regularly invites artists to intervene.

Whether these projects are conceived as extensions to exhibitions (Lara Almarcegui, Raumlabor, Rullier, etc.) or autonomous performance projects in the form of a passage through the town (Dector & Dupuy, Louise Hervé & Chloé Maillet, Toby Paterson, etc.), these ephemeral interventions offer experiences that renew the ways in which the town is used and perceived.
