Christ’s Hospital Band
Every day of the week, 100 musicians gather in the courtyard of Christ’s hospital at lunchtime for a walk to the refectory. Between a military parade and an orchestrated choreography, the parade of these young musicians is highly visible in England. For the performance at the Grand Café, 3 art students and members of the orchestra came to resonate with Christian Hidaka’s installation.

Japanese musician, living in Paris, the sound artist has been developing a sound from waterbowls for several years: porcelain bowls of various sizes, filled with water, the drops, waves and bubbles with which she plays resonate in the bowls and provoke feedback (larsen) forming waves and natural harmonics at the whim of the place.
